Okay, this is not cool. I was enjoying that cup of coffee, alright!

[The voice on the other end of your Gears comes through before the feed does, or at least it seems to. Then whoever's holding it seems to realize that they're covering the camera with their thumb and a man in a cheap blue suit with spiky hair that looks like it belongs in Tomorrowland is revealed.]

Oh, whoops-- Is this a camera? Nifty. Wonder if I can get my ringtone on this thing, I paid for that.

[Right when he says that he realizes that is not the point, and he coughs into his fist.]

Alright, considering this thing is hooked up to a network, I'm going to assume I'm not the only person who's been sucked away from home. Anybody want to share what's going on? I really, really hate being in the dark. And I really, really want to get home. Or at least get another cup of coffee. I feel like I'm gonna need it.

[Well, now here's a face that France hasn't seen in ages! From the contents of the post, it doesn't look like Phoenix remembers his time here, and, considering France only really met Phoenix in the hospital, that might be for the best.]

[France offers a friendly, sympathetic smile.]

Coffee is probably the only reliable thing in this place. That and green tea.

If you've just arrived here, you're probably in New Bark Town. Unless you've been informed you're supposed to be working for an organization called "Team Rocket"?

[France makes a vague but expansive gesture.]

No, no, New Bark sounds about right. I've just never heard of such a place.

[Ohhh that sounds bad.]

[France smiles, a combination of sympathy and bitterness.]

You would think, with the hundreds of people who have appeared and disappeared here in the fashion that they have, that someone would have noticed something. As it is, it seems to operate entirely in the realm of the fantastic.

[He shakes his head and then brightens a bit.]

People that come here tend to be from entirely different worlds as one's own as well. Some of them have very interesting stories.

...Wow, really? Well... I guess being a fantastic world would explain a lot of things.

[Maybe this is all a dream. ...Nah, his feet still hurt from being on them all day.]

[If this all turns out to be a dream, France would be miffled but only too happy to accept it. He's had worse dreams, although none quite so long and detailed. It's better than some of the alternatives France can imagine.]

[France nods, an air of knowledge about him.]

There are a great many people here who come from worlds where magic and such is entirely possible and even a fixture of everyday life. There is even one man here who claims to have traveled to the Moon on a whale.
