Okay, this is not cool. I was enjoying that cup of coffee, alright!

[The voice on the other end of your Gears comes through before the feed does, or at least it seems to. Then whoever's holding it seems to realize that they're covering the camera with their thumb and a man in a cheap blue suit with spiky hair that looks like it belongs in Tomorrowland is revealed.]

Oh, whoops-- Is this a camera? Nifty. Wonder if I can get my ringtone on this thing, I paid for that.

[Right when he says that he realizes that is not the point, and he coughs into his fist.]

Alright, considering this thing is hooked up to a network, I'm going to assume I'm not the only person who's been sucked away from home. Anybody want to share what's going on? I really, really hate being in the dark. And I really, really want to get home. Or at least get another cup of coffee. I feel like I'm gonna need it.

[Excuse him as he stares while he's steamrolled by Larry's emotional whiplash.]

...I do? Wait, what d'you mean I'm "back"?! Pretty sure I'd remember a crazy woman like that!

[He makes some vague gesture at the house he just left.]

[Larry nods enthusiastically.]

It was a while ago, but you were here before. I uh...don't have any of your old Pokemon, but I think some others do.

[His voice is shaky, like he can't contain his excitement. It's almost as if he hasn't seen Phoenix in ages...

... Which is true.]

But yeah! You're back now! Welcome to Johto and all that stuff.

Whoa, whoa, back up there. Pokemon? What're those?

[Oh god his head is starting to hurt.]

Please tell me I can still get some coffee in this place.

... C'mon man, don't tell me you forgot your childhood too! They're monsters you catch and train and stuff!

[He rummages around in his pocket and produces a Pokeball.]

They live in these. You should have one with you right now. Check your bag.

Oh, oh right. Wait, aren't those fictional?! The heck, Larry, this better be some kind of prank.

[Oh god he's so confused. He fumbles with the bag and nearly drops the Gear, but hey, no big deal right?]

Uh. Yeah, I have one.

Yep, but they're not here! 'cause funny story, we're actually in the Pokemon world.

[He's not crazy, okay?

Next, he pokes at the Pokeball.]

Okay, throw it at the ground and your Pokemon should pop out!

[He's pretty curious to see what Phoenix ends up with this time around, since Butch is with Heather... Oh man, Heather. That'll be interesting.]

...Uh huh.

[He's more worried about sober. Bemused, he decides to humor his old friend and does as he's told, and is kind of shellshocked when he gets a facefull of purple smoke.]

[He's been drunk here before, but he's not right now. Honest.

When Phoenix gets freaked out by the Gastly, Larry can't help but laugh, totally ignoring his own horrible experiences with that species.]

Hahahaaa, it suits you!

[Phoenix flails a bit, trying to get it out of his face, and grumbles when he finally does.]

That doesn't mean I care to wear it. What is it, anyway?

That's your Pokemon! S'called a Gastly.

Does it just say its name or something?

[Seems to. And it seems to really like "sitting" on the spikes of his hair, much to Phoenix's chagrin and annoyance.]

I...don't think I'm going to like this place.

Yeah, that's how most Pokemon roll. Some growl and roar too.

[And he'll just grin smugly at Phoenix's last comment, like he knows better.]

At the very least, you'll grow to deal with the place. But I'd say you actually liked Johto the last time you were here.
