First Case {Video}

Okay, this is not cool. I was enjoying that cup of coffee, alright!

[The voice on the other end of your Gears comes through before the feed does, or at least it seems to. Then whoever's holding it seems to realize that they're covering the camera with their thumb and a man in a cheap blue suit with spiky hair that looks like it belongs in Tomorrowland is revealed.]

Oh, whoops-- Is this a camera? Nifty. Wonder if I can get my ringtone on this thing, I paid for that.

[Right when he says that he realizes that is not the point, and he coughs into his fist.]

Alright, considering this thing is hooked up to a network, I'm going to assume I'm not the only person who's been sucked away from home. Anybody want to share what's going on? I really, really hate being in the dark. And I really, really want to get home. Or at least get another cup of coffee. I feel like I'm gonna need it.

[ooc: IIIIIIIIIII will get a contact post up pronto. In the meantime, have this!]

Their bodies don't leave, but it seems their minds do. I've experienced it myself. I fell asleep for almost two weeks. I felt like I was back home. And then I woke up back here all over again. My friends who were here said my body never left.

Um, yes. I'm fine, sir. Some of my friends were actually asleep longer.

It tends to end up that way. Some people though just decide to go along with it. You can end up here for a long time. I've almost been here for two years.

Oh my, really...? I think to most of the residents in that town it would be much like asking for a cup of sugar...

Any other questions?

[He's covered groups and the dangers of ledges...those were the most important things.]

Well, sure. But there's not a lot of places in that backwater to stay.

Helps if you can find someone to travel with.

Like I said, I don't know. That's just how it works here.

There's also one more thing I should warn you about. Johto is home to a dangerous group of individuals known as Team Rocket. They mainly steal Pokémon, but their tactics can be very brutal at times, and have managed to cause widespread chaos in the past. You can occasionally spot them in their uniforms, which consist of a mainly black attire with a large red "R" printed on their shirts, but they're typically disguised as regular civilians. Be on your guard at all times.

[SPOILER: you're talking to a TR member right now.]

[... Well there's a voice she hasn't heard in a long time.]

[... A very long time. Over a year, in fact.]

[It's one she thought she'd never hear again.]

[Holy shit.]
foolishwren: Guys, I'm not sure that's what good pussy sounds like. ([geiger counter noises])

[An actual look at her Gear proves it to be true, and she can't help but just sort of sit there for a moment, stunned.]

[But there's a reality to be addressed and it's a testament to how much this place does things like this that she knows right off the bat to hesitate and gauge the situation. The biggest question when anyone comes back after disappearing is a simple one: Do they remember?]

[In this case, judging by the video... he doesn't.]

[That's enough to puncture the swelling balloon of oh my god he's back?! in Heather's chest a little bit.]

[But... oh well. OH WELL. He's still back.]
foolishwren: what doesn't kill you gives you a lot of unhealthy coping mechanisms and a really dark sense of humor (well you know what they say...)

[The feed pops on.]

Uh... hey!

New here, huh?

They are, but the fact of the matter is that trained Pokémon are far superior; or at least ones that are owned by highly skilled trainers. They're more powerful, and some will even know attacks that wild Pokémon can't normally learn because they can only be taught through the use of a Move Tutor, or Technical or Hidden Machines. There are also certain Pokémon that can't be found in the wilderness at all, and Team Rocket values rare Pokémon very much.
